The U.S. Embassy Jerusalem’s Public Diplomacy Section, together with the Department of State and the organization World Learning are inviting you to apply for a unique international program emphasizing the use of sports as way to counter racism and promote conflict resolution. This exchange program is meant to expose young sports professionals at the grassroots and youth level from soccer clubs in Israel, involved in preparing new generations of not only future sportswomen/men but also fans, to a range of approaches in the U.S. in connection to using sports to combat racism, violence, and promote democratic values and equality.
At the first segment of the program selected participants will travel for two weeks to the United States, at the beginning of the February 2019. The second segment will take place in Israel during spring 2019, and will include follow -up workshops and clinics with American professionals. Finally, participants are expected to implement a working plan according to skills and knowledge acquired during the program.
The process begins with recruitment and selection through November-December 2018.
U.S. citizens and Green Card holders are NOT eligible for this program.

Entry/medium level professionals from soccer clubs who have a meaningful engagement with youth and/or communities and are passionate about using sports as a tool for social change are welcome to learn more about the program and to apply through this link.
